Homeschool Conventions, 2010
Midwest Homeschool Convention, April 8th - 10th, 2010
Duke Convention Center, Cincinnati
This Ohio conference is one of the largest. Prepare for lots of
homeschool vendors, and fabulous speakers. One of my favorites
is Susan Wise Bauer. She and her mother, Jesse Wise, wrote
"The Well Trained Mind", a book that outlines the classical
approach to home education.
Susan was homeschooled for most of elementary and middle
school, and all of high school. She entered college at seventeen
as a Presidential Scholar and National Merit finalist. Since 1994,
Susan has taught writing and American literature at William & Mary
College.
Her mother, Jesse, will also be a speaker at the Convention.

The keynote speaker will be Linda Dobson. She is the author
of several books, including "The First Year of Homeschooling
Your Child" and "The Ultimate Book of Homeschooling Ideas.
